For the meatballs
454 g Lamb, ground or minced, raw

5.6 g Spearmint, Mint, fresh leaves
1 g Cilantro, Coriander Leaves, raw
1.58 g Thyme, fresh leaves
1  (ea. 3 g) Garlic, raw
1 tsp Coriander seeds
1 tsp Salt, table
1 tsp Cumin seeds, ground
½ tsp Onion Powder
½ tsp Allspice, ground
¼ tsp Paprika, ground, mild (spice)
⅜ tsp Oregano, dried
¼ tsp Curry Powder
¼ tsp Pepper, black, ground

Preparation

  1. Serving size: 7 meatballs
  2. Temperature: 177 °C
  1. With your hands, knead together all the ingredients.
  2. Form balls from about 1 tablespoon worth of meat mix. I like to use a measuring spoon for this.
  3. Put on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for about 12 minutes or until the meat balls are fully cooked.
  5. Serving

  6. You can serve these as a starter, for example with a dipping sauce made out of yogurt or sour cream, seasoned with fresh mint and cilantro and a bit of cumin and salt.
  7. Or top your favorite pasta with tomato sauce with them as a great addition to a main.
  8. Finally, they also make a great buffet option for your next gathering. Stick a toothpick in each meatball and they're good to go.

  10. You can store the finished meatballs in an airtight container for 5 days in the fridge or up to 3 months in the freezer. For best results, thaw overnight. Reheat in the microwave or in the oven.
