Preparation
- Serving size:7.70 oz (calculated)Notes: one chicken breast (about 6 oz raw) cut into strips with a cheese crust
- Temperature: 350 °F
- Combine the cheese, parsley, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter.
- Cut the chicken breast into strips lengthwise. You should get about 4 strips per chicken breast. Alternatively, use chicken tenders.
- Dip each piece of meat in the butter, then roll in the seasoning mix. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with foil.
- Bake until the chicken is done, about 12 minutes.
- Optionally broil until the chicken crisps up, about 2 minutes.
- Serve, for example with a side of vegetables or salad.
- Don't discard the meat juices. Especially if you're having mash or something similar with the dish, it makes a great sauce. Or simply drizzle it over the meat.
- You can store the dish in an airtight container for 3 days in the fridge or up to 3 months in the freezer. For best results, thaw overnight. Reheat in the microwave or in the oven.
