1 pinch Cayenne Pepper, ground
1 tsp Salt, Kosher salt, table salt
½ tsp Pepper, black, ground
¼ cup 2⅞ tsp Butter, unsalted

Preparation

  1. Serving size:
    7.70 oz (calculated)
    Notes: one chicken breast (about 6 oz raw) cut into strips with a cheese crust
  2. Temperature: 350 °F
  1. Combine the cheese, parsley, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.
  2. Melt the butter.
  3. Cut the chicken breast into strips lengthwise. You should get about 4 strips per chicken breast. Alternatively, use chicken tenders.
  4. Dip each piece of meat in the butter, then roll in the seasoning mix. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with foil.
  5. Bake until the chicken is done, about 12 minutes.
  6. Optionally broil until the chicken crisps up, about 2 minutes.
  7. Serve, for example with a side of vegetables or salad.
  8. Don't discard the meat juices. Especially if you're having mash or something similar with the dish, it makes a great sauce. Or simply drizzle it over the meat.

  10. You can store the dish in an airtight container for 3 days in the fridge or up to 3 months in the freezer. For best results, thaw overnight. Reheat in the microwave or in the oven.
