Preparation

  1. When draining the chickpeas, keep some of the liquid. You can use it to get the right consistency for the hummus.
  2. Chop the garlic and ground the cumin seeds.
  3. Put all the ingredients into a blender and mix until you get a smooth consistency. This should take no more than 2 or 3 minutes.
  4. Add some of the chickpea liquid if the hummus is too dense and blend again.
  5. Optionally serve with extra olive oil and some chopped parsley.
