Preparation

- Temperature: 350 °F
- Remove the flesh from the avocado and mash it using a fork.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
- You can also use a food processor to mix everything together, but it's easy to accidentally overmix. This makes the brownies cakey, rather than fudgey.
- Line a loaf pan or other smaller oven-proof dish with parchment paper.
- Add the batter to the pan and smooth it out evenly.
- Optionally add toppings like chocolate chips or nuts.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, depending on the thickness of your brownies. They are done when the edges begin to separate from the pan.
- Let cool for at least 30 minutes, then remove from the pan.
- Cut into 8 portions. Enjoy them as a dessert or indulgent snack.
- These brownies may have avocado, but you cannot taste it. They are fudgey with that slightly bitter taste of dark chocolate.
- You can store the brownies in an airtight container in the fridge for a week.
